//emptychairs is the one-man design project of Jared Cohen. i am a very artistic person, and my life revolves around music, photography, and the internet. not the most exciting of lifestyles, but it makes me feel whole, and that's what counts.

i've been playing music since i was in grade school, and my music recent musical project can be found here: conceptbravery.com.. playing music makes me happy, so i do it. a lot.

i used to have a website dedicated solely to my photography, it was called //silentHUM... i also had some sites dedicated to my writings.. and then one day it hit me, that i could combine the two ideas and make one super-jared-artsy-site.

when i'm not playing music i dedicate a lot of my time to design. mostly for the web. i design pages using css and xhtml. these are two items which have taken me quite some time to learn, and to say that i have learned them completely would be an incredible overstatement. each website i create requires me to learn something new, but that's what i love most. it's a neverending learning experience. i don't use flash, mainly because i don't understand it. too much math.

i am really a huge fan of technology in general. i am constantly reading about new inventions, and new ideas. these things make me happy, they make me proud of humanity. why am i telling you? maybe you care. i don't know.

i love to travel. i've seen much of the US and Canada, and quite a bit of others as well. there are still a few continents i've yet to hit though. don't worry, i'll visit them soon enough.
